TODAY at 1pm EST, I'm playing through malViolence to atone for my puzzle crimes (+ news on the rebalancing update)


YUP, you read that correctly!

Today at 1pm EST, I'm streaming malViolence and playing its puzzles for myself! 

Consider this my punishment for all of the puzzle crimes I've inflicted on you all... I'm really interested to see what my game feels like as a player, versus as a developer. May Cautionne have mercy on my soul...

Additionally - a little bit of news on the rebalancing update (and everything with it!)

  • Trailers are nearly done! Both short trailers are finished. The long/main trailer is all blocked out, and I'll be refining it over the next couple of days. Also, yes - I did say trailers. Jenny (my trailer maker) and I decided that two short vertical trailers and one big trailer would be the best way to promote the game on social media.
  • Puzzle difficulty preferences are being implemented right now! Speck and Kigyo (my coders and puzzle designers) have been working hard, chipping away at the puzzles that need rebuilding. However, one thing I can say for sure is that the game's most unbalanced puzzles (the infamous hacking and panopticon puzzles) are a lot fairer to the player.  So there's some good news right there!

Anyhoo, we'll continue our hard work to make this new version of malViolence as good as it can be. Please look forward to the update, as well as my stream in a couple of hours!
